In 2019, B BRAND was founded as the exclusive design division of BINST ARCHITECTS, with the vision that architecture, interior, and furniture should complement each other. The cross-column, which is so characteristic of the interior of the BINST ARCHITECTS headquarters, served as inspiration for the design of the CROSS furniture series, which currently includes a table, side table, and lounger.
The collaboration with Master Interior was a logical step for the development and commercialization of the design. The expertise and craftsmanship of this family business made it possible to realize the desired detailing and expertly solve the technical challenges within the designs.
Cross tables
The CROSS dining table is a unique, minimalist piece that stands out as an object within the space. The table features a solid oak tabletop supported by five cross-shaped legs. This design creates a distinctive play of lines and results in an unconventional arrangement of the legs, making the table multifunctional. It can range from a personal work table to a seamless series of tables that can come together to form one long studio table.
The purest and most minimalist form of this concept is the CROSS side table. This compact piece is built with a central cross-shaped leg supporting a small tabletop, creating an architectural column that can function as a nightstand, side table, or stool.
For both tables, the legs appear to pass through the tabletop. By integrating the attachment plate between the legs and the underside of the table flatly, this illusion is further enhanced. As a result, the aesthetic of the cross-shaped legs is visible even from the top of the table.
Cross lounger
The CROSS lounger is a versatile piece designed for both indoor and outdoor use, incorporating the cross column as the horizontal support. The lounger features a sleek, oak frame with a generously padded cushion, which can be upholstered in a wide range of fabrics. Inside the cushion, a mechanism allows for adjustable backrest height, combining minimalist design with optimal comfort in any position. The cylindrical headrest adds further comfort, completing the design.
