Vastigo: a homely atmosphere for clients and employees
The homely feel is a natural result of the right combination of furniture and materials. “The texture of the fabrics is important. For example, consider the natural composition of the Merino curtain fabric from the Belgian brand Pure & Present. We also used smoked oak in the furniture and brass in the lighting.”
Owner Mara of Vastigo had her eye on the Seven table from B&B Italia, designed by Jean-Marie Massaud. “An excellent choice,” says Isabelle. “Thanks to its unique shape, it’s enjoyable to sit with clients at this table. You have a good connection with everyone. Moreover, it breaks the straight lines in an interior.”
The upholstered shell chairs with wooden legs around the Seven table come from the CLOSE collection of the Dutch brand Arco. “Just like the office chair at the reception desk. By placing them close together, you create uniformity in your interior. This immediately provides a sense of calm.”
In the back space, the offices are located. “Here, clients don’t come directly,” says Isabelle. “The design is therefore more pure and practical. The Vitra Physix office chairs, a real bestseller from our collection, provide excellent seating comfort.” A large and a medium Hourglass flower pot from Ferm Living add extra decoration and a homely atmosphere.
