Coming together in style
Spending time together turned out to be very important to this family. “So both the seating area and the dining area needed plenty of seating,” Isabelle explains. “In the seating area, the Moov sofas by Cassina keep the view of the large terrace open. At the same time, they offer extra comfort when the backrests are folded up.”
The leather of the sofas is offset by the B&B Italia Lazy armchairs, which live up to their name, and by the pattern in the Fusion rug from Limited Edition. A drink or a magazine can be set down on the large Moroso Phoenix coffee tables, whose rounded shapes soften the whole, or on the Poliform Baba side tables, whose material echoes the beautiful kitchen table.
Warmth in the kitchen and the reading corner
The round Poliform Concorde table takes centre stage in the apartment. Thanks to the rotating centre section, everyone can serve themselves easily during a meal. The warm look of the table, the comfortable Knoll Conference Chairs and the sense of shelter that the large Flos Skygarden lamp brings to the kitchen area all invite you to linger long after dinner.
In the welcoming reading corner beside the fireplace, we chose the luxurious Metropolitan armchairs by B&B Italia. Their support for the back, neck and head makes for a comfortable seated position. The elegant side tables with a handle are the DLM by Hay.
A practical entrance hall and study
We brightened up the entrance hall of this penthouse with the ever eye-catching Hang It All coat rack by Vitra and the rotating Flow Pouf by MDF Italia, in a striking accent colour. The black Hesperide chest of drawers by German brand Schönbuch is perfect for putting down post, keys and other small items on your way in.
The study was integrated into the living space, so a compact desk that would not feel too bulky was the way to go. The Zanotta Calamo desk with the stylish Wishbone chair by Carl Hansen turned out to be exactly right. In the evening, the Meltdown floor lamp by Cappellini provides extra light and a playful touch of colour.
From details to a dressing room
At Master Interior you will find more than furniture alone: we also take care of the finishing touches that make an interior complete. Above the kitchen island we hung concrete Aplomb lamps by Foscarini, and the practical La Palma Kai stools around the island swivel and adjust in height. Above the desk we hung three Climbers by Gutzz. In the bedroom stands an elegant Molteni 606 chest of drawers on slender legs.
You have also come to the right place for larger bespoke projects. This Porro Storage open dressing room, for instance, was made entirely to measure for this penthouse. In the kitchen and dining area we fitted aluminium venetian blinds by Luxaflex. Our sewing workshop made the white curtains from fabric the client supplied. The Silent Gliss curtain tracks were delivered and installed by our own Master craftsmen too.
