The NAC Table: elegance and functionality in one design.
In our showroom, you will find thousands of products from hundreds of design brands from all corners of the world. This gives our interior architects a broad view of the market. The lack of an amorphous table for around ten people stood out.
When our interior architects pointed this out, Art Director Filip Versmissen grabbed his drawing program. “I started with a few sketches based on the golden ratio,” he explains. “This is based on a mathematical proportion, known as the Fibonacci sequence, which often appears in nature and the fine arts. It gives the tabletop of the NAC its own character and flowing elegance that sets it apart from the status quo.” The base was designed so that there is never a leg in the way, no matter where you sit.
Designing, of course, is not done alone. It’s a collaboration between all the involved departments to draw on everyone’s expertise. “For example, the Sales team got to decide which base and finish the table would have. Our interior architects can make that choice based on practical experience, in relation to ongoing and future projects.”
The new table is entirely produced in our Master Ateliers, where craftsmanship and quality are central. “The raw planks arrive and are planed, sanded, glued, milled, and then finished to perfection here. The result is a solid oak table, made for life. If something goes wrong, you can come straight to us, the producer.”
“We have been making custom furniture for a long time,” says Filip. “Now we are also building our own furniture line, which will gradually expand more and more.” Not A Circle, NAC, is now available and on display in the showroom, coming with its own certificate and numbering.
