The Phoenix is an office building near Brussels’ North Station. The complete renovation involved redesigning a total of 17,000 m². “Fortunately, we could rely on a trusted partner for the interior,” says Mathias Lammens, managing director of abv+ architects. “Master Meubel provided a beautiful, stylish, and elegant interior.”
Mathias first encountered Master Meubel at an event organized by STERCK Magazine. “When I started working on the tender file, it was a no-brainer to involve them. Their diverse range of design furniture and their years of expertise were more than welcome.”
Creative freedom
One of the requirements of the client, Baloise Insurance, was that the Phoenix should stand out from other office buildings after its stylish makeover. “Master Meubel’s vision, a colorful yet fashionable mix, was a perfect fit for this,” says Mathias. “We worked with an open brief, so our partners were able to fully unleash their creativity.”
“That creative freedom led to a great collaboration,” adds Goele Vermeeren, managing director of Master Meubel. “We are now well-acquainted with designing office environments. We’re increasingly involved in large B2B projects for architects and developers.”
The furniture was delivered three months after the order. “We had tight deadlines and were confronted with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic,” says Mathias. “But Master Meubel adapted to our schedule without any issues. We’re so satisfied with the collaboration that we are already working on the next project. In a high-end office building, Master Meubel is providing both loose and fixed furniture. The fact that they have everything in-house to supply fixed furniture is an added bonus for us.”
