The second home also has two sitting areas. In the first, a local product catches the eye. Out of Line is the collection by Bieke Casteleyn from Knokke-Heist, which answered the rhetorical question, “Why does a table have to be square, rectangular, oval, or round?” This Out of Line coffee table also has a unique, organic shape. “The rounded lines were continued in the round rug from JOV, another Belgian brand, and the gray Minotti Daniels sofa,” Glenn points out. “As additional armchairs, we chose two cognac-colored Flexform Feelgoods.”

The winter lounge offers a beautiful view of the garden. “Here, we mainly worked with warm materials.” In the center are two coffee tables from Cassina, with more than six decades separating them. The low Mexique in characterful walnut is a design by Charlotte Perriand from 1952, while the higher 9 from Piero Lissoni was released in 2014. “The armchairs with warm gray boucle finish are Crono’s from Flexform. In the other corner stands the previous version of the Amoenus Soft sofa by Maxalto, a brand from B&B Italia. It can be oriented either inwards or outwards. The clients preferred this version over the new one. Thanks to our good contacts with the manufacturer, we were able to find one.”

A three-part glass partition in smoked glass separates the winter lounge from the office space. The walnut from the second lounge subtly reappears in this office as a detail in the VVD office chair, another design by Vincent Van Duysen, and the table, both also from the Bulo collection.
